Music Exploration is an elective class designed to broaden the musical knowledge and experiences of all 6th-grade students. The goal of this class is to expose students to styles of music outside the classical listening realm with a real-world application including film scoring, video game composing, world drumming, improvisation, modern music, jazz, and rock n’ roll evolution. Students will engage in meaningful discussions of music and work to create their own music in group and individual settings paired with historical research.
