HAL

Start every day in your WIN so you can get your 10 minutes of reading in.

Next week the library is hosting the ms speech team, so no HAL unless you are in speech.

6th Graders If you have not turned in your Field Trip Permission Form, it needs to be returned THIS WEEK! The permission form is your ticket on the bus, and it tells us whether we need to have a sack lunch prepared for you or if you’ll bring your own. If you lost the form and need another one, see Mr. Kranz. Field Trip forms can be turned in to any 6th grade teacher.

Student Council Vote will be held on Thursday, April 18th. Forms will be emailed out to all 6th and 7th grade students before Advisory. You will have until the end of WIN to vote, and then the forms will be turned off. Members will be announced on Monday, April 22nd. Good luck!

Thought for the Day

The Awesome Avocado

Avocados are currently the ultimate trendy hipster food and have taken the fresh food market by storm in the last decade. Fortunately, they also have a large range of health benefits.

For our brains, studies have shown that avocados might be able to help protect against brain damage, specifically in the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for things like planning and critical thinking Plus, avocados may help to prevent brain issues brought on by high blood pressure and strokes.

It’s worth remembering that avocados are also high in calories, so you’ll want to keep your amount limited if you’re trying to maintain a healthy weight!
