All Students - LOST ‘n FOUND has been bagged and put away.
If you are missing a sweatshirt/jacket ask in the office. Lost ‘n
Found is not your locker or home base. If your lunch box or
Water bottles are on the Lost ‘n Found table please claim it.
On Wednesday if any of the Lunch Sacks that were there on
Last Friday, they will be tossed - Ants and Flies are gathering.
Passes are still for sale - if you are not playing a sport this year they are $30. If playing a sport they are $50 with your Sports Fee.
Stop in the MS Office to make that purchase. Passes are good for
Only HOME (Non-Tournament) Games.
NMS Party & Dance - Friday, November 10th! Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the door or before school November 6th-10th. Concessions (pizza, candy, pop) will be sold. Each event will have a Dodgeball Tournament and Open Gym.

only 6th graders allowed at the Party;
only 7th & 8th graders allowed at the Dance

Learning to focus on strengths, assets, or “bright spots” in an extensively researched approach in psychology and neuroscience.
The researchers in these fields agree that focusing on the positive not only feels good but also works when you’re trying to change or you want others to change. Finding the strengths/assets/successes of yourself and others is another key habit in building resilience.
Focusing on what’s right in your world does not mean you’re blind to life’s challenges. Instead, a strengths-based approach works because:
We look at our strengths and what is going well
We gain confidence in ourselves
We can harness our positive feelings
And then we can direct that energy to areas where we are struggle
