“A” Day



 

High School Girls Soccer Student Manager: The high school girls soccer team is seeking 3-4 middle school students to be Student Managers for the 2025 season. Any students interested in the position should email this completed form to Coach Areman by Fri, Dec 13: sam.areman@nsdtitans.org

Winter Bookmark Contest!  Entries are available in the Library.  One winner per grade and each winning bookmark will be printed for the school.  Gift Cards will also be awarded to the winning artists. Entries due Friday, December 6.



 


 

AND THE WINNER IS… OLIVIA TEAGUE!  Olivia Teague won  the NMS Spelling Bee with the word “unprepossessing”. She is the winner of a $50 Amazon gift card.  McKinley Monaghan came in second, with a $25 gift card and Grace Malcom was third with a $10 gift card. 


 


 

Chess club begins after break!  Anyone interested in learning how to play chess is invited to come to the library during WIN, after reading their 10 minutes.  HAL students will be available to tutor for beginners up to advanced players.  (HAL students involved with tutoring will come directly to the library after checking in, to help set up chess boards.) Tournament in January. Prizes!!


 


 

Do you like challenges? How about numbers, treats, and maybe scholarship money? If you say yes to any of them, consider joining Mathcounts!  Practice is every Wednesday morning from 7:45-8:15 am in Mrs. Patrick’s room.  Chapter competition is on Saturday, February 22, 2025.  If you are interested, but can’t come at this time, please talk to Mrs. Patrick.
