NORRIS HIGH SCHOOL DAILY BULLETIN - October 6, 2022

   

TODAY’S ACTIVITIES:

9th Football vs. Bennington - HOME - 6:30

EMC Cross Country Meet @ Bennington - 4:00-Girls/4:30-Boys

Res-JV-V Volleyball @ Elkhorn - 5:30

 

The varsity softball team will play in the district final on Saturday, October 8 at 10:00 a.m.(MT) in Scottsbluff.  Good luck Titans!

FFA Boosters will be hosting a tailgate Friday night before the football game.  See the attached link for menu and prices:      FFA Tailgate

 

Wrestling:  Is Wrestling for you??  Whether you're male or female, come and find out every Monday and Thursday after school in the Wrestling room starting Monday Oct. 10th.  Wrestling is now open to everyone.  Girls will only practice and compete against girls.  We will have open mats which provides you with the opportunity to try the sport of Wrestling.    Learn the basics of Wrestling and how it will help you develop skills that are useful in other sports.  If you have any questions contact Coach Duran at brian.duran@nsdtitans.org

 

The Norris High School library will host a Bob Ross Painting event after school on Wednesday, October 12th. We will be painting a fall scene. The event will go until 5:30. Sign up is limited  and you can reserve your spot by signing up in the library. There is a $5 fee to participate. Stop by the library if you have any questions. 

 

Picture retakes will be Friday, October 21.

 

Printing allowed from Chromebooks and printing limit of 100 pages per school year. 

All high school students can now print directly from their Chromebooks to 3 of the printers in the high school building.  Students are also limited to 100 B&W printed pages per school year. TITANS GOT TALENT - We are so excited to announce it is time for TITANS GOT TALENT! As a reminder, this is our community-wide talent show. In the past, we have featured all different kinds of acts from singing to dancing, instrumental performances to roller-blading, and so much more. If you are interested, please fill out thisGoogle Form. Only one member of your group needs to fill out the form. Please note, auditions will be on Monday, November 1st, from 4:00-7:00. We will send out a sign-up sheet to reserve slots after we have compiled the list of auditioners. If you have any questions, please send them tohunter.boe@nsdtitans.org. Thank you! Seniors:  You are reminded to fill out the google form with your height and weight for your cap and gown for graduation.   Also, if you did not get the order packet from Josten’s with the graduation products, please stop by the high school office.  Orders must be placed online by Friday, October 21st.

Norris High School will have its second COLLEGE/MILITARY/APPRENTICESHIP FAIR of the school year on Wed, October 19th during IAP 10:07-10:31am in the common hallway near the auditorium for Juniors & Seniors-parents welcome also.

JUNIORS & SENIORS you can sign up now for the ASVAB held at Norris on NOVEMBER 16th 8:30am-12:00pm (CLICK HERE to REGISTER)  The ASVAB is a timed multi-aptitude Test for the Military. Scores in Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension and Mathematics Knowledge count towards the Armed Forces Qualifying Test (AFQT) score to determine qualification to enlist in the U.S. military.
