

Titan Talkers compete at NSAA State Speech Tournament
Most of the Titan Talkers wrapped up their competition this season at the NSAA State Speech Tournament on Thursday, March 26th on the UNK campus. Freshman Clinton Lowe placed sixth in Extemporaneous Speaking, and Senior Brittany Lucas double medalled placing 4th in Dramatic Interpretation and 5th in Interpretation of Poetry. Other team members competing at the tournament this year were seniors Allison Docter, Jaime Stephenson and Connor Sullivan, sophomores Hannah Oelling and Lauren Robertson, junior Holden Franken, and freshman Holly Skorupa and Saylor Small.
The team will host a showcase of events open to the public on Monday, April 13th at 7 in the s-wing of the high school. Desserts are provided. This is a great photo or recording opportunity for parents.
Seniors Brittany Lucas and Jaime Stephenson have also earned a spot at the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions which will be hosted at Lincoln Southwest High School this year from May 8-10. Speech competitors from across the country have earned spots at this national contest; the contest is free and open to the public. Come see some of the best competition in the country and support the Talkers.
