TeBrink awarded Rookie of the Year by NATM
Paris TeBrink, Norris Middle School teacher, was awarded the 2024 Rookie of the Year teaching award at the Nebraska Association of Teachers of Mathematics annual conference last week in Kearney. This award was established in 2000 to honor rookie mathematics teachers who demonstrate outstanding teaching in their beginning years of education. Nominees must have taught for three years or fewer in a public or private school in Nebraska. This award honors Paris who has made an extraordinary impact in a short time, engaging her students and creating a love for learning mathematics. Her dedication, innovation, and energy shape the next generation of students. Paris had shown a relentless pursuit of making math relevant for each of her students and helping them become mathematicians who see the joy, wonder, and beauty of math. Miss TeBrink has demonstrated her passion for learning and collaborating with colleagues at Norris Middle School.
Paris graduated high school in Milford and went on to Wayne State College to receive her degree in 5-9 Mathematics, 7-12 Special Education, and an endorsement in English as a Second Language. She is working on her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Doane University. Miss TeBrink enjoys horseback riding, traveling, and spending time with her family.
