Students qualify for National History Bee
The Norris History Bee team traveled to Omaha on March 31 to participate in the National History Bee Regional competition. Students competed with other regional qualifiers in their grade levels. Four students qualified for the National Competition in Chicago in June: Isabella Kester - tie for 8th in the Elementary Division, Samantha Palermo - 8th grade qualifier, Sadie Hornung-Scherr - 7th grade runner-up, and Marshall Severson - 7th grade champion.
On the day of the competition, the team enjoyed visiting the Joslyn Castle, the Old Market, and the Durham Museum to squeeze in a little more history before the competition began. Some of the questions related to the experiences of the day!
