Lentfer's students explore circulatory system with cow heart

Room 502 (Mrs. Lentfer's second grade class) has been studying about the heart and circulatory system in health and science.  We learned how the heart is a very strong muscle, that it has chambers, and how the blood is pumped throughout the body.  To demonstrate how the heart works, Mrs. Lentfer brought in a cow heart to show the class. We got to touch and feel a real cow's heart, put our hands in the chambers, and see the arteries come in and out of the heart itself.  It was pretty awesome to get to do this hands on science.
