Home Town: I grew up in Hebron, Nebraska as the youngest of a large family (16 to be exact). I then lived in Lincoln for ten years before moving to Tecumseh for 8 years. However, my family moved to the Roca/Hickman area in 2007.

Degrees: Bachelor of Journalism from UNL in Broadcast Journalism; Bachelor of Science in English/Language Arts from Peru State College. Master's through UNK with an emphasis on Secondary English.

Favorite thing about teaching: Working with youth and helping them discover their gifts, interacting with other educators to meet the needs of all students, facing the challenge of working in a complex career, learning new technology for the classroom, and being a role model of a lifelong learner

Family: Husband, William; Sons: Pierce (Class of 2014) and Owen (Class of 2016).

Hobbies/Interest Areas: When I am not busy planning or grading, I enjoy spending time with family, exercising, reading, watching performances, and learning new technology.  I am an advocate for Google Apps for Education and using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
